Concolor Fir (Abies Concolor) – Is a large tree ranging in height from 60-200 feet that can often live up to 300 years. Concolor fir is native to the western United States and normally does well in moist loamy soils but can also be found on dry thin soils and is tolerant of a considerable amount of shade. Generally Concolor fir is found in areas with greater than 20 inches of annual precipitation, often with long winters. Concolor fir is popular as both a landscaping and Christmas tree, especially for its distinctive and pleasant aroma and blue/green or silvery/green color.
